Our unitised solution to the entire facade requirements of this prestigious development set its proposals apart from the more traditional approach adopted by its competitors.
Using products based upon Schuco’s UCC 65SG system allowed a fast track construction programme to be achieved with a very short lead in time and truncated durations on site. Unitised Fabrications automated, purpose-built facility produced over one thousand fully complete cassette units comprising of varying configurations of structurally glazed glass and panels of differing depths to articulate the façade in accordance with the architect’s design intent, installed on site in just sixteen weeks. We provided a perimeter rail hoisting system that enabled Westfield to fit-out its retail units on the ground floor without the impediment of standing scaffold or mast climbers. This project has demonstrated the time, cost and quality benefits of using a systemised approach when designing, manufacturing and installing a multi-product building envelope.
